The absolute maximum is .4 mega pixels, which is the equivalent to an analog TV.IP network cameras are a new to the surveillance world. These cameras are digital and use cat5 network cable (as opposed to coaxial cable) to send data back to a network recording server (NVR). IP cameras are comparable in quality to the latest consumer digital cameras. These mega pixel cameras are capable of resolutions over 10 times that of the best analog systems and over 2 times the resolution of HDTV.
